Novak, who kept driving after the accident until a bicyclist chased him down a block away, claimed he wasn’t aware he had hit someone. “I rolled over the nacelle of his engine,” Liljenquist said. Yes, he used the word nacelle.

“There was a pedestrian splayed on his windshield — I don’t think there is any way you can miss that,” said the bicyclist.

Novak’s claim has become more credible since he was diagnosed on Sunday with a brain tumor, which apparently can cause this kind of problem.

Citizen-viewers may wonder how long it has been affecting him.
